I have been organizing my little craft space trying to make it much more efficient. I have a lot of storage in a small space but I keep forgetting what I have in what tin. So, when I am crafting it takes me longer to figure out where did I put that trim I need? I use a lot of matte white pottery to store many of my craft supplies because they are open at the top and I can easily see what is stashed inside. The problem is when I store items in a tin or satin box. I put it in there and forget what is inside. This is what I have been doing for the past two weeks....I told myself no more projects until I get it totally done. I have a few more tags to make but for the most part, I am almost done. There is nothing like being organized. The best part is, my oldest daughter Olivia has been helping me sew the tags. She is really good with the sewing machine....I like to think she is a chip off the old block.
I like to use visuals of what is inside the box, here is a tag for my vintage photos.
I have a ton of sewing cards...I had them stashed in to many places, once I put them together I realized I have a ton. It is a good problem to have...right?
My daughter made this one all by herself....not bad uh? She can sew a mean straight line.
The top tag is for all of my vintage paper dolls and the bottom tag is for an entire box of hankie scraps (I can't throw them away, you never know when you might need them).
This one is for all of my glitter letters.
I have a ton of this chocolate brown yarn and this is the perfect tag for it.
Here are a few more....the top one is for paper ribbon, the middle one is for glass bottles (oops, I forgot to add the word glass, the letter s didn't fit. Don't tell anyone) and the bottom one is for an entire tin full of vintage buttons.
It doesn't look like a lot of work, but it is!
