Over the weekend my family and I went to our cottage to soak in all of the fall colors in northern Michigan. It was so cold and rainy so I decided to make some time to create while the kids played. I'm glad I did and it's felt so good to take some time for myself.
Well I know I said I would try and update my blog more often but my creativity seems to of taken a back seat. The summer has been busy and so has work, I know you probably all feel that way. Anyway last weekend I was finally able to make some time to create and it felt really good.
We have been at our cottage this week and while my children sleep in and my husband golfs with his father, I have been enjoying the peace and quiet. I have been enjoying sipping my coffee and creating with my bits and bobs I keep stashed at our cottage.
I have been at our cottage in northern Michigan and I usually take my crafting supplies with me to keep me occupied while my husband golfs. I found this old lumber apron and I added a touch of lace to the bottom to give it a bit of femininity. I can't wait to wear it to Karla Nathan's birdsong event.
A couple of weeks ago my mom and I went to the Utica antique market. It was so much fun to rummage through all of the booths. I did find some great things and I ran out I cash very quickly. That is why I love antique malls...they accept credit cards.
This will be my second post using my iPhone and I will TRY and keep up posting on a more frequently.
A couple of weeks ago I brought home this shabby cabinet for our hallway and my husband asked where are the chickens....he thought is was the most awful thing I had ever bought, BUT I love it. For whatever reason he thinks it belongs in a chicken coop....what does he know? Anyway, I now have a place to store all of my china and I couldn't be happier.
