I know it's been a while...it just seems so hard to update this blog in a regular basis. I was asked to create a bouquet for a bride a couple months ago. She wanted me to use all of her new and old pins get family has collected for her. I never made one of these before and I didn't think it would be too difficult to create. Well after a little research on how to create them, I aligned on an approach and dove right in. I really enjoyed making it and it's hard to create something for someone when you personally don't know them but Ginger did end up liking it. For the base of the bouquet, I used remnants of an old wedding dress from the 40's and used the rhinestones as well. I thought it was appropriate to send a little old down the aisle with her. If your wondering what technique I used to create the bouquet, I used floral wire, wrapped each pin to secure it to the wire and then gathered all if the pins once they were attached to the floral wire. I wrapped the handle with floral tape and the wrapped the handle with the wedding dress remnants. My recommendation is to take your time wrapping the pin to the wire so the pin is very secure. These types of bouquets are so pretty and I love that family members can donate pins to add to your bouquet.
Well I'll try and be more proactive on keeping up with my blog. It's like I have been neglecting a friend.
